Fleet Management & Sustainment Analytics

With LMI’s proficiency in sustainment analytics and supply chain resilience, equip your organization with the expertise and solutions needed to enable data-driven decision-making, predict future demand, anticipate equipment maintenance needs, and more.

The data generated by systems and stored throughout an enterprise's lifecycle can be leveraged more effectively to enhance asset performance, reduce costs, and mitigate operational risks. By employing data-driven techniques, including a comprehensive range of analytics such as descriptive analysis, key performance metrics (KPMs), benchmarking, reliability analysis, and predictive analytics, organizations can gain valuable insights to better understand, anticipate, and address system challenges that impact availability and operations.

Using LMI’s fleet management & sustainment analytics capabilities, leverage your historical data and real-time information (i.e., sensors) in conjunction with advanced analytics models to forecast future demand, actionable understanding of asset health and risk, and enhance fleet performance. With LMI’s proficiency in sustainment analytics and supply chain resilience, equip your organization with the expertise and solutions needed to enable precision sustainment support at the point of need, data-driven decision-making, predict future demand, anticipate equipment maintenance needs, and more.

LMI is a leading provider of fleet management & sustainment analytics solutions and is equipped to solve your most pressing logistics challenges:

  • Lifecycle Management: Enable data-driven decision-making for sustainment activities and resource allocation to systems across their entire lifecycle, with the objective of optimizing performance, lowering ownership costs, and ensuring that vital systems align with the evolving needs of stakeholders.
  • Demand Forecasting: Predicting future demand for critical supplies, equipment, and spare parts based on historical data, mission requirements, and operational plans.
  • Maintenance Optimization: Anticipate equipment maintenance needs and optimize maintenance schedules. By analyzing data on equipment performance, usage, and failure patterns, proactively identify potential maintenance issues, reduce downtime, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Sustainment Data Readiness: Quickly determine suitability of existing sustainment data for advanced analytic capability development. Maximize the value of an organization’s sustainment data by aggregating sustainment data into a common data environment with a common framework and ontology.
  • Sustainment Budgeting: Defensible sustainment budgets based on comprehensive understanding of cost drivers
  • Asset Visibility: Leveraging real-time data and advanced tracking technologies to gain visibility into the condition of assets.

    Cost of Readiness Engine (CORE)

The Cost of Readiness Engine (CORE) is designed to simplify the execution and evaluation of dynamic sustainment simulations and their associated costs. CORE is an enterprise level decision support tool that integrates a collection of sustainment models into a single framework, providing clear connections between sustainment investments and performance/impact across fleets. CORE helps government entities balance performance and cost by capturing the complexities of modern sustainment environments and running complex sustainment excursions. It bridges the gap between resourcing, performance, and operational impact tradeoffs, empowering users to make mission-critical decisions at the pace of need.

LMI Use Cases

  • LogSmart™ Sustainment Analytics at DHS CBP - LMI is assisting a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Program Management Directorate Office in more effectively and efficiently utilizing existing sustainment data to address real-world sustainment challenges. As part of this effort, LMI is conducting a sustainment data readiness assessment which includes developing a sustainment ontology, performing data discovery across multiple existing sources, conducting a data gap analysis, and evaluating capabilities for developing advanced sustainment analytics.
  • U.S. Army Bradley Fleet Analytics - LMI is supporting predictive maintenance within the Program Executive Office for Ground Combat Systems to improve fleet maintenance decisions (i.e. repair versus replace, sustain versus modernize), ensuring they are connected to operations and informed by available Army data. LMI built a tool and dashboard suite to deliver enterprise-wide information that scales from individual vehicles, parts, suppliers, and maintenance and cost records, and predicts future maintenance and cost drivers.
  • Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO); and of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Materiel Readiness (DASD(MR)) Maintenance and Availability Data Warehouse (MADW™) - MADW™ ingests availability, cost, inventory, maintenance, and supply transactions data from 46 authoritative DoD data systems; integrates the data into a common structure and ontology; and uses machine learning and natural language processing algorithms to clean the data and solve for additional value added parameters such as actions (i.e. weld, fix, replace, calibrate), objects (i.e. landing gear strut, engine controller circuit card, door actuator), and corrosion related work within each maintenance transaction. Materiel availability, operational availability, and cost per day of availability are displayed for each weapon system. The goal of MADW™ is to help users and organizations at all levels assess maintenance, repair, and overhaul actions and resources that help each weapon system achieve its target availability at the lowest cost.
