Brandon Greenberg

Brandon has advised government, nonprofit, and private-sector organizations on emergency management planning and operations for over 15 years, with a focus on improving the design of organizational and technical systems to support disaster management. He architects technical solutions to meet a variety of customer requirements, including an innovation strategy and roadmap for an $80 million federal logistics IT program.

Prior to LMI, he founded DisasterNet, Inc., serving as president for more than 11 years. He designed and assessed the information and technology needs for a disaster resilience network of Fortune 500 companies. He also furnished subject matter expertise to a government-led, public-private initiative to harness real-time, actionable information using open-source analytic tools, geographic information systems, and social media to strengthen emergency response decision-making.

Brandon is a former cochair of the Department of Homeland Security’s Virtual Social Media Working Group, leading subject matter experts to develop and document social media best practices and solutions for disaster response. He holds a doctorate in engineering management from the George Washington University and a master’s in public administration from the New York University Wagner School of Public Service. He is a certified emergency manager by the International Association of Emergency Managers.
