Stu Jones
Vice President, OSD Submarket
Stu Jones leads LMI’s Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) submarket and oversees the delivery and execution of programs, projects, and tasks as well as strategic growth. He provides cross-service line support for policy development, planning, resource management, and program evaluation. Current key clients include the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) for Acquisition and Sustainment (A&S) and the OUSD for Research and Engineering (R&E).
Stu is a retired Navy Supply Corps officer, who joined LMI in 2010. Assignments during his career included tours at the Naval Supply Systems Command, Naval Inventory Control Point, Naval Air Forces Atlantic Fleet, Naval Sea Systems Command, and Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Regional Supply Office/Aviation Support Detachment. He served at sea as supply officer on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), commissioning supply officer of the USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53), and assistant supply officer of the USS Valley Forge (CG 50). In his final assignment at DLA, Stu served as executive officer to the director. In this role, he directed the daily operations of the 20,000-plus personnel in DLA’s global workforce. He coordinated multifunctional activities spanning customer operations and readiness, logistics and supply, acquisition, energy, and information technology.
Stu holds a bachelor’s in political science from the George Washington University, a master’s in business administration from the University of Florida, and a master’s in strategic studies from the Army War College.
