Tysons, Va.— LMI has been awarded a five-year, $65 million contract to provide program management, business transformation, and technical, financial, and professional advisory services to U.S. Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems' (PEO EIS) Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) Program Management Office (PMO).

GCSS-Army is a Systems Applications and Products (SAP)-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution that streamlines the Army’s supply chain, maintenance, property accountability, and financial management processes to deliver vital logistics capabilities to the warfighter. With a userbase of approximately 200,000 Soldiers and civilians at nearly every Department of Defense (DOD) location, the GCSS-Army system impacts the entirety of the U.S. Army logistics operations on a global scale.

Karen Goodson, vice president of LMI’s Army submarket, stated, “GCSS-Army is the critical component to building and sustaining combat power across the operational force.  We are delighted to continue delivering world-class expertise to our PEO EIS partner while driving innovation towards future capabilities to support Soldiers every day with their logistics missions.”

LMI’s support is essential to integrating best-of-breed solutions needed to continually modernize the GCSS-Army program at the pace of need. This includes adding new functionality such as the Enterprise Aviation effort which introduced 60,000 new users across the Army aviation community and posturing the program to converge with the U.S. Army’s future Enterprise Business System-Convergence (EBS-C) solution.

Jon Baba, senior vice president of LMI’s defense market, stated, “I am extremely proud of the value-added services and technical thought leadership, innovation, and objectivity LMI delivers to the U.S. Army. Our Army is at an inflection point with continuous transformation to the capabilities envisioned in EBS-C. GCSS-Army plays a huge role in that transformation. LMI’s contribution across the Joint Logistics Enterprise energizes the situational awareness and decision-making needed to sustain current operations while moving with the sense of purpose needed to meet future demands.”
