LMI Selected to Continue Partnership with Defense Standardization Program Office

Tysons, Va.— The Department of Defense’s Defense Standardization Program Office (DSPO) has selected LMI to continue enhancing the DSPO’s initiatives and activities through technical and functional services. This contract furthers LMI’s 26-year history of serving as the DSPO’s trusted partner in sustainment, product support, maintenance, lifecycle logistics, material readiness, and policy development activities.  

“Continuing our partnership with the DSPO exemplifies our commitment to excellence and customer-centric innovation,” said Jon Baba, senior vice president of LMI’s defense market. “This collaboration strengthens the DSPO’s operational capabilities to promote interoperability, reduce total ownership costs, and achieve sustainment readiness in defense systems.”

With extensive expertise in supply chain management, LMI will provide technical support to enhance the DSPO’s Parts Management and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages Programs, including the collaboration forums, knowledge-sharing tools, and policy development activities that promote continuous process improvement and best practice adoption across defense and industry.

In direct support of DSPO’s critical and complex mission, including a significant role in promoting interoperability internationally with allies and partners, LMI will continue to leverage its expertise in the defense international programs community and NATO.
