Graduate Fellowship Program

Our Graduate Fellows develop polished business skills that will put their knowledge into action. We invite outstanding new graduates with master’s degrees who want to contribute to LMI’s mission of solving complex government challenges to participate in this yearlong program. Upon successful completion, fellows will continue as full-time LMI consultants.

Learn More About the Graduate Fellowship Program

Eligibility

The program seeks recent graduate students with exceptional technical and research skills combined with strong leadership potential. We look for broad educational and professional experience that indicates strong, flexible intellectual capability. Graduate students from disciplines such as business, public administration, data science, engineering, and health policy are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Professional Development

In addition to the standard employee benefits package, fellows receive professional development training to augment their work experience. LMI staff members and outside experts supply this training—a mix of project management, professional skills, leadership, and technical instruction—the focus of which depends on the needs of LMI and the interests of each fellow.

Mentoring

Each fellow teams with a senior LMI professional who acts as a mentor. Mentors help the fellows prepare professional development and training plans and identify projects. The mentors are also available to tutor on consulting skills and to offer insight and advice on working with the federal government and public sector.

Co-Op Program and Internship Opportunities

LMI offers internship opportunities that enable promising students to explore career opportunities, develop job skills, and earn income while giving LMI the benefit of youthful energy and talent. We seek candidates with interest and academic experience in areas such as logistics, supply chain management, health systems, defense and national security, data analytics, contracts administration, digital government, communications, and office services.

Our co-op program gives college students the chance to integrate coursework with full-time, meaningful employment. It affords an opportunity to enhance the knowledge students acquire in academia by working with experts in their fields—on real-world projects—for our government clients. In addition to numerous networking opportunities, onsite training, and a variety of extracurricular activities, students have distinct advantages over their peers entering the workforce. Many receive offers of employment after completing their rotations.
