Matt Peterson
Principal Technical Advisor, Supply Chain Solutions
Matt leads LMI's supply chain reengineering and process improvement projects for U.S. government customers. He has 30 years of experience as a government logistics manager and supply chain consultant. At LMI, he has worked with various organizations—such as the Department of Defense, the Department of Agriculture, Amtrak, NASA, and the General Services Administration (GSA)—to create supply chain solutions. Before joining LMI in July 2000, he worked for GSA for nine years.
Matt is the LMI liaison to Pennsylvania State University as a part of our LMI academic programs. He plays an integral role in advancing the mission of the LMI Research Institute to spur innovation and offer academic rigor in support of our U.S. government clients. In this role, he coordinates research, recruiting, training, and networking opportunities with Penn State.
Matt has a master’s in business administration from George Mason University and a bachelor’s in business logistics from Penn State. He earned a Certified Supply Chain Professional designation from Association for Supply Chain Management (formerly APICS) and is a Certified Supply Chain Operations Reference model professional. In addition, he has completed more than 10 continuing education courses offered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Management Institute.
