Lucas McCabe

Lucas is a data science fellow at LMI, where he leads the Machine Learning and Statistics Lab. He has served as machine learning lead for the LIGER™ platform, modeled the climatic and operational impacts of synthetic jet fuel, developed software for maritime logistics, and more.
Lucas has been recognized as a DARPA Riser and is multiple-time Luminary Award winner (LMI) as well as a David and Dorothy Bernstein scholar (Institute for Quantitative Biomedicine).
Lucas is a PhD candidate in computer science at George Washington University and a member of the Graph Computing Laboratory, where he researches natural language processing and computational social science. He wrote his master’s thesis at Johns Hopkins University. Lucas studied mathematics and computer science at Rutgers University, where he worked in the Moghe Laboratory.
