John Fasching
Sr. Consultant, Logistics Strategy and Integration
John Fasching, retired U.S. Army Lt. Col., came to LMI from the Pentagon’s Joint Staff J-4, Capabilities and Strategy Division, where he was the principal developer and analyst for joint logistics concepts and assessments. He also worked at Headquarters, Department of the Army, as the project officer for the Army Power Projection Program. Other key operational military assignments include planning and executing fire support to armor and mechanized infantry operations while serving with the Army’s 1st Armored Division Artillery; planning, coordinating, and executing joint logistics over-the-shore operations in synchronization with the Navy and Marine Corps; commanding an Army hovercraft transportation company while serving with the Army’s 7th Transportation Group; and serving as a deployment and logistics planner for combatant command operations. At LMI, John’s clients include Headquarters Department of the Army and the Army’s Surface Deployment and Distribution and Combined Arms Services Commands, Office of Naval Research, Joint Forces Command, U.S. Transportation Command and Office of the Secretary of Defense.
John has a bachelor’s in business administration from James Madison University and a master’s in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He volunteers in several endeavors, including as Pennsylvania State Vice President of the National Defense Transportation Association and as a location leader for Wreaths Across America, Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
