Chris Ayers
Practice Area Lead, Acquisition
Chris Ayers serves as LMI’s practice area lead for acquisition. In his role, he helps structure resources, customer-focused solution development, and acquisition efforts to align with strategic priorities. He is responsible for the capabilities, growth, and talent in his respective practice area and enables LMI to best scale and facilitate professional development engagement and conversations with employees as they seek to grow in their careers.
Chris’s professional career has been dedicated to serving the nation. He graduated as an infantry officer from the United States Military Academy and proudly served 21 years in the Army. The first half of Chris’s military career was dedicated to supporting Airborne, Ranger, and heavily armored infantry units. He then transitioned to serve as an Army acquisition officer, primarily serving with United States Special Operations Command. Chris received an MBA in system acquisition management, from the Naval Post Graduate School and a Master of Engineering, Systems Engineering, from Penn State University.
