Alex Barenblitt
Sr. Consultant, Logistics Planning and Optimization
Alex supports property management operations at federal civilian and defense agencies, specializing in Six Sigma rapid problem-solving techniques applied to property management. He has worked with dozens of federal customers over his 40-year contracting career, with the last 20 years focused on government property management. He has implemented asset management system tools and has run government contractors’ property management programs on behalf of the Department of Defense, NASA, and other federal customers.
Alex is a certified professional property manager (CPPM) through the National Property Management Association (NPMA), of which he is a former chapter president. In 2020, he was elected chair of the Council of Fellows, NPMA’s most distinguished body of practitioners.
A voting member of the ASTM Committee E53 on Asset Management, Alex serves on the National Defense Industrial Association’s Government Property Systems Committee. He holds Six Sigma Green Belt certification and the Asset Leadership Network’s ISO 55000 A55K certification in strategic asset management. Alex earned his bachelor’s in business administration at Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business and his master’s in business administration at Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business.
