Tysons, VA — LMI today announced its selection by the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) as the prime task order awardee to provide system acquisition lifecycle and engineering support services to the Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD) of the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP).
The Acquisition Program Management and Technical Solutions (APMTS) task order, with an estimated total value greater than $220 million, represents one of the most significant awards in LMI’s 56-year history. Awarded under GSA’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) Unrestricted Pool 1 contract vehicle, the single-award task order spans a one-year base period with four one-year options.
“LMI has provided a range of services and logistics support to U.S. Border Patrol for more than a decade. We are thrilled to expand upon that longstanding commitment with this task order,” said LMI Vice President for National Security John Selman. “We look forward to continuing our support of USBP and its efforts to operate with the efficiency and agility to meet its mission today and evolve to meet future needs.”
The PMOD is responsible for the acquisition, deployment oversight, and sustainment of USBP border security capabilities, technologies, and systems. In support of PMOD’s responsibilities, LMI will provide services related to program management of the task order, acquisition and program management, and lifecycle logistics management. Other services encompass technical and engineering support for electronic technologies, environment planning support, and cost-estimating support for PMOD’s contract award process, among others.
“LMI’s support to USBP began as a single contractor 13 years ago. To see the level of support we are entrusted to provide today is incredibly rewarding and a testament to LMI’s reputation for helping clients achieve mission success,” said Scott Recinos, director of LMI’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) support. USBP is a component of CBP within DHS.
