Ayana joined LMI in 2018 from the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG), a division of Kaiser Permanente, working as an internal coach and trainer for medical doctors in the Washington metro area. Prior to MAPMG, she worked for Lockheed Martin as the internal coaching program manager, serving as an executive coach to several senior leaders.
Ayana partners with corporate leadership to set and execute organizational strategy, guidelines, training, and processes for talent management and leadership development. She strives to build relationships and offer relevant solutions to her client’s needs. Ayana brings a diverse background in HR that spans over 15 years, as well as experience in myriad roles and industries. She takes on various roles to serve as a coach and facilitator in the community, including professional development activities with the International Coach Federation in Washington, DC, public speaking events at large organizations, and most recently as a guest lecturer on the topics of leadership and organizational culture at the University of Maryland, Shady Grove.
Ayana draws from the Coaches Training Institute’s model of co-active coaching, where she was trained and certified in 2011. She holds a master’s in organizational development from American University and a bachelor’s in psychology from Temple University.
Ayana loves to spend time with her family, entertain, and cook. She enjoys any opportunity to travel, especially to warm climates in the Caribbean.
